Product Description


The main USES of dicyandiamide include :

(1) as the raw materials of guanidine and melamine.Guanidine can be made by reacting dicyandiamide with acid.The reaction of dicyandiamide and phenylnitrile produces phenylmelamine, which is the intermediate of coating, laminate and molding powder.

(2) as dye fixing agent, dicyandiamide resin prepared by the reaction of dicyandiamide and formaldehyde can be used as dye fixing agent.

(3) dicyandiamide fertilizer and dicyandiamide compound fertilizer can control the activity of nitrifying bacteria, adjust the transformation rate of nitrogen fertilizer in soil, reduce the loss of nitrogen, and improve the efficiency of fertilizer use.

(4) as a fine chemical intermediate.It is used to prepare guanidine nitrate and sulfonamide drugs in medicine.It is also used to make thiourea, nitrocellulose stabilizer, rubber vulcanization accelerator, steel surface hardening agent, artificial leather filler, adhesive, etc.The reaction of dicyandiamide and formic acid can obtain 5- azacytosine.
